Earn Your High School Equivalency (also referred to as GED)

Are you working, taking care of a family, and trying to balance life? Are you ready to finish getting your High School Equivalency (HSE) as well? MTCC provides the flexibility and support to help you acheive that goal – Free of charge!

The High School Equivalency (HSE) program offeres students the opportunity to complete their high school education in a timeline that works for the student. Students can work in the classroom, and take home study materials. Our instructors are here to support each student complete their education in a way that promotes their success. 

Orientation attendance is required to participate in HSE classes. Please read over the Orientation Schedule and call to sign up.

How It Works

The MTCC HSE program offers class in the day and evening, English and Spanish, for students who have busy lives and need a program that understands and encourages them. Students work at their own pace to successfully complete five HiSET exams and will graduate with their HSE credential.

Students complete HiSET exams in the following subjects:

-Reading

-Writing

-Science

-Social Studies

-Math

Open to ages 16 and up. If the student is a minor, a Minor Release Petition (MRP) Form must be completed. An orientation and initial assessment is required for all registrants.
