Program Overview
McDowell Technical Community College offers Emergency Medical Technician Certification, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Certification, and Paramedic Certification. Our programs are accredited by the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services.
Upon successful completion, students qualify to take the state qualifying exam for their chosen certification level. We also offer a wide array of emergency medical services in-service training.
Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarships are available to reduce out-of-pocket costs for students enrolled in EMT or Paramedic courses, including HEERF, SECU, and GEER scholarships.

The MTCC Paramedic Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, upon recommendation of CoAEMSP.
