One of our students, Destin Rickard, helped to film and audio engineer a project last fall to highlight addiction recovery in McDowell County. With the nationwide opioid crisis, as well as ongoing problems with methamphetamines, heroin, alcohol abuse and other substance abuse issues, we thought this would be an excellent time to highlight this video-From Regret to Recovery- and to remind students that there is a path from addiction to “Hope.” (Click on the link above to watch the video.) ARC Grant Supports McDowell Tech’s New ADN Program
A grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) is helping McDowell Technical Community College better prepare future nursing graduates to provide high-quality health care and to fill a myriad of vacant nursing positions, both locally and throughout the region.
