NTHS

McDowell Technical Community College faculty and staff organized a chapter of the National Technical Honor Society during the 2000-2001 academic year. NTHS, as it is abbreviated, began in 1984 to reward excellence in workforce education. It is an internationally recognized and proven program with over 1,500 member schools and colleges.

Student membership in NTHS is available to those who seek to uphold critical workplace values and high levels of achievement.  Once yearly, NTHS may extend an invitation to MTCC students who have completed at least 9 credit hours of course work required for their program of study, have achieved a GPA of at least 3.25, and have been recommended by their faculty advisor.
