The purpose of the Small Business Center is to increase the success rate of small businesses in McDowell County by providing high quality, readily accessible assistance to prospective and existing small business owners which lead to job creation and retention. We are a community-based provider of education and training, counseling, referrals and information. Reach your full potential with the free resources available through the Small Business Center.
FREE COUNSELING:
The Small Business Center is one of 58 Small Business Centers throughout North Carolina and provides free, confidential counseling services for new and existing businesses. Available on an as-needed basis, these confidential services act as a sounding board for new ideas, and concerns you may have about your business. Our professional staff will help you find solutions to your challenging business questions. No question is too simple or too complicated. To meet with a business counselor, please compete an Online Request for Counseling Form, and SBC staff will contact you to schedule an appointment.
FREE LENDING LIBRARY:
The Small Business Center has a free lending library of professional resources including printed materials, books, pamphlets, magazines and trade journals available for your use. Printed materials including books, pamphlets, magazines and trade journals are available for your use. It also offers access to the Internet.
