Firefighter Training Programs

Our firefighter training programs are designed to provide both paid and volunteer agencies with the needed training to maintain a department with quality, work-ready, firefighters.  Our classes operate both day and night to provide the maximum ability for firefighters to receive the courses they need to better their communities.  We offer most all certification courses through the North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshall, as well as specialized non-certification courses.  We are also dedicated to providing National Fire Protection Association courses.  Find our full array of upcoming classes on the “Available Classes” page. 

In addition to our training offered throughout the year, McDowell Technical Community College is home to the largest Fire, Rescue, and EMS College in the southeast.  This weekend college is in March every year and hosts approximately seventy firefighter, rescue, and EMS courses.  To see more about our Fire, Rescue, and EMS college, click on our link.
