Registration Guidelines

Read the registration requirement carefully for detailed information.

1. The prospective student must be 16½ years of age on the first day of semester.
2. Apply online using admission tab at McDowell Technical Community College

1. Present a valid, non-expired, U.S. Government-issued, signature-bearing, picture identification
2. Present a valid, non-laminated, signature-bearing Social Security Card, matching their picture identification
3. Meet the RISE eligibility requirements; Official High School transcript.
4. Schedule required eligibility verification meeting with the Program Coordinator, Sarah Jornigan (828.652.0639) or any Health Sciences Department faculty by calling the Department Administrative Assistant at (828) 652-0646

1. Tuberculous (TB) Screening (Current through the end of the semester)
2. Hepatitis B Immunizations*
3. Flu shot (more detail given in orientation)
